چکیده
In this study, monthly heavy metal concentrations in the whole-body tissue of Patella caerulea (Mediterranean limpets), a bioindicator species living coastal zone Gulf Izmit (Marmara Sea), were examined for first time. The mean (mg kg-1 dw) 2.01–5.74 Cd, 2.45–12.90 Cu, 0.74–1.95 Pb, 21.12–109.57 Zn, 16.31–154.67 Ni, and 1120.67–3086.00 Fe. Cd levels all months Pb October November found to be above safe limits set by international organizations. estimated daily intakes weekly determined each below acceptable provisional tolerable intakes. However, target hazard quotient total values calculated Fe higher than 1. carcinogenic risk value was also high.

Assessment of heavy metal contamination of seawater and marine limpet, Patella vulgata L., from Northwest Spain.
In the present work, both seawater and limpets (Patella vulgata L.) were collected from different sampling points in the Vigo estuary area (Galicia, NW Spain) and their heavy metal concentrations (Zn, Cd, Pb, Cu) were determined by means of a voltammetric technique. The results showed a direct relationship between the heavy metal levels in seawater and the content in biological samples, especia...

The objective of this study was to assess the bioaccumulation of heavy metals (Cd, Pb, Cr and Fe) in the muscles of five fish species (Sander lucioperca, Liza auratus, Alosa caspia, Cyprinus carpio and Liza saliens) from Gorgan Bay in the south-eastern Caspian Sea, in order to determine the value daily intake of heavy metals by consumption of fish and human health risk assessment. The concentra...
